Tinga had made herself a life outside of Manticore. She had married, and had a son named Case.
Unfortunately, Manticore caught up to her. They attacked her apartment, trying to get Case, who was showing advanced development.
However, Lydecker had already gotten to Case, and poisoned him. Tinga was forced to give herself up in order to get the antidote for Case.
However, Lydecker was double-crossed by his cold-hearted, sinister boss, Dr. Elizabeth Renfro. Tinga was taken to a secret facility and was the subject of extreme tests which eventually killed her.
