Zack was the oldest of the X5 series. At first, he appeared to be the perfect example of a Manticore soldier.
But everyone was surprised to find out of his fiercely dedicated protection of his younger "brothers" and "sisters".
For example, when a tac leader took away a balloon he had found for Max, Zack punched him out. Also after the escape, he watched after all of them. He gave himself up for Max after she was captured by Lydecker.
Zack and another sibling started the escape in 2009. He was initially recaptured that night, but escaped again.
He was recaptured twice in 2020, which the second time led to his tragic death, in which he gave his life for sister, Max.
